Briana McCloskey finished the cross country season with a career-best effort and Nathan Schneider took home five wins in the pool as the duo was named Student-Athletes of the Month for November 2014.

Briana McCloskey closed out a great second half to the season and the Simpson women s cross country team was the most improved in the region, placing 19th of 27 teams at the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships on Saturday.

Briana McCloskey made a late push to place 23rd at the Iowa Conference Championships, helping the Storm to a sixth-place finish.

Briana McCloseky placed fourth overall and Sadie Timms came in fifth to lead the Storm to a second-place finish of five teams at the Loras Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Freshman cross country runner Sadie Timms and junior golfer Trent Lindenman earned Simpson Student-Athlete of the Month honors for September 2014.

The Storm placed 15th of 25 teams at one of the nation's largest meets.
